Good day

Writer: Joke De RoeckJoke De Roeck

Morning light streaming in

to our caravan’s delight

cup of coffee warming hands

feet wet on the grass

we drink in the day

get drunk on sunrays

fall off our chairs from laughter

playing that guitar always louder

run in water ocean fresh

a crab pinched my toe

I gave him a dance

that’s what we do

creatures of the big blue

until the sun sets

that's when

we take the van and

drive the long windy road up

up up to Summer hill

inhale the view then yell out

THANK YOU

what a good day you’ve been
