Last week I watched a movie called ‘Girl’. A girl finds herself trapped in a boy’s body. No exit in sight but to wait and count the days until she can be released of the parts that don’t belong to her. I’m not here to write the entire story down, but my brain and the goosebumps on my arms and legs can’t stop thinking about her.
Definitely a movie that sticks to you like tape, wrapped all around your body and mind, grabbing you by the throat, squeezing the juice out of your heart. So beautiful and so heavy. The gratitude of feeling at home in the body I live in, and the love and support to those who don’t. Breaking taboos, one film at a time. All I can say is: go watch ‘Girl’, it will leave you breathless.
